The Scotland Community’s Annual Black History Event will take place from 2-5 pm, Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the Scotland Neighborhood Recreation Center (7700 Scotland Drive, Potomac, Maryland).
The event will feature information about the following historically Black communities in Montgomery County:
- Scotland
- Good Hope
- Tobytown
- Emory Grove
- Lincoln Park
- Lyttonsville
- Sandy Spring
The event is FREE FOR ALL AGES and will highlight the history of the Scotland Community through a museum style exhibit. Activities to include special guest presentations, storytelling, books, arts and crafts and refreshments.
Presentations will begin at 3:30pm.
