On June 20, the longest day of the year, bridge neighbors gathered on the Talbot Avenue Bridge for a casual meet and greet. Attendees mingled and enjoyed light refreshments, as trains passed underneath and the sun set. Special thanks to Sen. Jeff Waldstreicher for attending.
The event was originally scheduled for the day before, the Juneteenth holiday and birthday of the late Charlotte Coffield (June 19, 1933-September 11, 2024), lifelong Lyttonsville resident and civic leader and a founding member of the Talbot Avenue Bridge Committee. May she rest in peace, and may we carry on her work.
Here are a few photos of the event. And mark your calendars for our next event, the Talbot Avenue Bridge Lantern Walk, on November 8!
