2025 Lantern-Making Workshop

Come one, come all to this year’s lantern-making workshop!

The Talbot Avenue Bridge Committee invites community members of all ages to join us for a lantern-making workshop the weekend before this year’s Talbot Avenue Bridge Lantern Walk.

When: 1-4pm, Sunday, November 2
Drop by anytime between this time period

Where: Gwendolyn E. Coffield Community Center
2450 Lyttonsville Road, Silver Spring, 20910
Come to the Art Room (2nd floor, located to right at top of stairs, across from elevator)

Cost: FREE *

We’ll be making lanterns out of recycled plastic containers, tissue paper, various decorative elements, and string. All materials will be supplied, but feel free to bring materials of your own to add to the mix (e.g. autumn leaves, round paper lanterns, etc).
