Dedication of Talbot Avenue Bridge Plaque Honoring Charlotte Coffield

Update: On Thursday, June 25, the Talbot Avenue Bridge and connecting streets were closed for a ceremony to unveil a plaque honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Charlotte A. Coffield. The plaque was temporarily installed on 4th Avenue, facing the bridge, and will be permanently installed on the bridge in the future.

Hello everyone!

I am delighted to invite you to a special event honoring my mother, Dr. Charlotte A. Coffield. Please join us for the dedication of the Talbot Avenue Bridge plaque on Thursday, June 25, at 10:30 AM.

This plaque is dedicated to her memory as a beloved human rights and community leader. Her tireless work for justice and equality has left an indelible mark on our community, symbolizing the unity she inspired in us.

The ceremony will take place at the Talbot Avenue Bridge, significant for her and a vital link for our neighborhoods.
